Takot ako!

I should feel relieved now that the first semester of my first year in law school is finally over. Actually, my friends and I already “celebrated” the end of the term last Saturday, after our Persons and Family Relations exam, although we still had one more exam yesterday. Well, after yesterday’s “exams” I actually wondered why we still had to take the test or why I still bothered to prepare for it and spoiled my weekend. The exam was supposed to be from 6:30-8:30, but The Teacher arrived 10 minutes late from the scheduled time. The class, or at least most of us, was only halfway through in answering the questions when at 8 p.m., The Teacher, in his usual KSP fashion, ordered us to wrap up our exams in two minutes and pass our papers. It’s not hard to figure out from such acts whether or not The Teacher intends to correct the test papers- apparently, he does not. The Teacher reportedly gives the same grade to whole class-a grade that will not even pull up our average, perhaps even thinking that we should thank him for receiving such a grade because no one in the whole batch even passed the midterm examinations.
As expected, our examination in Persons and Family Relations last Saturday drove us crazy- so crazy that Joyce and I refused to join or hear any conversation in relation to the said examination. Haha. I learned that it is best not to talk about the exams after taking it and remain convinced that I answered all the questions correctly. To celebrate the end of the term, the LRT and the Thursday Groups decided to eat dinner at Mang Jimmy’s. Thereafter, Lito, Anson, Joyce and I sang our lungs out at Music Match in Tomas Morato. After the singing showdown, we proceeded to Tia Maria’s for a drinking session and were later joined by Jen, JP, Lawrence and Eric. Since I already spent the last centavo of what used to be my savings from my two-year work, I simply had dinner with my classmates yesterday, after our last test.
Like I said, I should feel relieved now that the first semester is over, but I could not help but fear the results of the examinations, which would determine if I could still study in my school next year. So far, things are really not working for me despite all my efforts. I just could nit imagine the day when the lady in the Office of the Dean would tell straight to my face that I did nor make it. If I don’t make it, I just pray to finally be accepted, should I take the entrance exam, in the school, which teaches Law in a really Grand Manner.
